How a Crossworded puzzle gets made
You choose the subjects they love. We handle the grid, the answers and the clues. Here's exactly what you'll see along the way.
Step 01
Tell us who it's for
Start with a first name or nickname. Picking an age range is optional — it only helps us choose music, movies and history they'll actually recognize.

Step 02
Pick the topics they love
Open any of 17 categories — Music, Sports, Movies & TV, Food & Drink, History and more — and tap the topics that sound like them. Add specifics if you like, or write in anything that doesn't fit a category.
- Choose at least 5 topics
- Clues come from their interests, never their private life
Step 03
Star up to five favorites
Tap the star on the topics they can't live without. Every puzzle is guaranteed at least one clue from each favorite — if they love basketball, basketball will be in there.
- Favorites show a star on their topic chip
- Everything else fills out the rest of the grid
Step 04
Choose a difficulty and build
Easy keeps answers short and clues direct. Medium feels like a daily newspaper puzzle. Hard brings longer answers and some wordplay. Building takes a couple of minutes, and it keeps going even if you close the page.

Step 05
Solve it, print it, send it
Every puzzle gets its own private link that works on phone and desktop. Each clue has one hint behind the bulb, and letters turn red only once a finished word is wrong. There's a one-page printable version too.
